Several agriculture students presented to the Village Board earlier this month, showcasing the impact and expressing appreciation for access to a 5-acre parcel the Village owns along Doubet-Benjamin Park.
From planting to harvest, routinely more than 50 students participated in activities at the plot. This has been a historic, ground-breaking year for the department, which for the first time in decades has a plot within walking distance to provide a land laboratory that extends classroom learning.
