Ellis Rogers & Mr. Rigg

How proud we were to see Ellis Rogers recognized on national stage as a Top 4 National Finalist in the Veterinary Science Proficiency Area! She was on the big stage and the big screen at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis at the National FFA Convention, ranking among the best in the nation across all vet science projects!!

While she didn't snag the champion spot, her exemplary Supervised Agricultural Experience makes her a local champ as the first in Williamsfield FFA history to rank nationally in the recordbook area of FFA competition! TINY BUT MIGHTY!

ABOUT HER PROJECT

Through Ellis' Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), she completed seven recordbooks documenting 1,282 hours of work and internships at three veterinary clinics and a zoo, caring for small, large, wild, and exotic animals. She earned university certifications in animal health and handling, mastering 70+ procedures and becoming a trusted team member assisting with care and welfare. Managing communications for over 5,000 clients honed her ability to explain treatment plans clearly. Across 731 unpaid and 551 paid hours, she learned to work efficiently, prioritize care, and collaborate with veterinary teams—experiences that inspired her goal to serve rural communities as a compassionate mixed-animal veterinarian.
