Dear Williamsfield Schools Students and Families,
I hope your summer has been filled with rest, laughter, and time together. It’s hard to believe that school starts next Tuesday—August 12th—and we can’t wait to see you back in our hallways!
This year, our theme is simple but powerful:
WE ARE WILLIAMSFIELD SCHOOLS.
We are Learners—always growing, asking questions, and seeking understanding.
We are Leaders—lifting each other up, setting examples, and taking action.
We are Innovators—finding new ways to solve problems, create opportunities, and make a difference.
Our students, staff, families, and community each play a unique and essential role in what makes Williamsfield Schools such a special place. Together, WE are what makes the difference.
Here’s what you need to know for the first day:
First Day of School: Tuesday, August 12th — Doors open at 7:50 AM
Middle & High School Students: Please report to the Robert P. Anderson Gymnasium by 8:15 AM and sit with your class. You’ll be greeted by Mr. Mills, our new Superintendent, Mr. Hannam, your Dean of Students, and me, Principal Binder. Together, we’ll share important announcements, hand out schedules and Chromebooks, and make sure you have everything you need to start the year strong.
Class sponsors will have Chromebooks, chargers, and schedules ready for you.
Mr. Hannam, our Dean of Students, and I will review the student handbook, dress code, and overall expectations.
Elementary Students:
Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade and 3rd Grade families are invited to a Backpack Drop-off/Meet the Teacher on Monday, August 11th from 2:00–4:00 PM.
Come anytime during this window to drop off supplies, meet your teacher, and get settled before the first day.If you can’t make it during this time, no worries—students can bring materials with them on the first day, and we’ll make sure they are welcomed, settled, and organized.
We understand the first day can bring some nerves, so we’ll take time to walk through procedures, answer questions, and help everyone get comfortable with their schedule before classes begin.
If you have any questions or need assistance before the first day, please call us at 309-639-2216. Our goal is to ensure every student and family feels confident, prepared, and excited to begin the year.
Let’s make 2025–26 a year of learning, leadership, innovation, and most importantly—togetherness.
We’ll see you soon!
With excitement,
Zack Binder
Principal
