For #GivingTuesday this year (December 3rd, 2024), members of our HS Robotics team volunteered at Hidden Manna Food Pantry, which is part of the Peoria Area Food Bank system. While at the food pantry, students packed & distributed food items to individuals & families in need.
Giving Tuesday takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving every year. It serves as a contrast to Black Friday and Cyber Monday (which are traditional days of spending) by focusing on donating time & energy to help others and make a positive impact in local communities.
Our HS Robotics students truly enjoyed helping out at the food pantry and are looking forward to volunteering more of their time at organizations like this in the future. Thank you to the organizers of the food pantry for your hospitality and guidance!
