Today, [Friday, October 18th] the land use team competed at Rend Lake College in Southern Illinois. In this contest, students look at four soil pits, judging textures, the formation of the soil, drainage, erosion, coloring, and the landform. Then they answer a series of questions about either Ag purposes or judging the land for future homesite. The varsity team participants included Kyla Doubet, Hannah Gehring, Ella Rigg, and Owen Rigg..

Ella placed first individually, with Kyla right behind her for second! Owen placed fourth, and Hannah placed ninth! What an amazing accomplishment for Williamsfield FFA!

Additionally, our JH team also competed at the college. The team placed third overall with Brynlee Gibbs placing first and Cameron Yerky placing fourth. Great work team!

Congratulations to everyone who competed today! We would like to thank Brandon Hall and Chase Howell for all the help along the way! Way to show up and show out! We are tiny but mighty!!
