Full In-Person Learning Option
Friday night, the Board of Education approved a full in-person learning option for students and families. This additional option will result in the following adjustments to COVID-19 protocol beginning Tuesday, April 6th.
- On buses, seating arrangements will be similar to years past. Our current practice spaces empty seats between students as best we can.
- In classrooms and hallways, we will work to maintain 3 feet social distancing or best effort. Our current practice is 6 feet or best effort.
- Eating will no longer be restricted to the Billtown Cafe. Tables will be placed in the MS gym where some students will eat lunch and snack.
With the changes, we are giving all families the opportunity to switch learning options for the months of April & May. Your choices are full-time remote, hybrid, or full-time in-person. You don’t need to do anything if you aren’t going to change.
As you consider your options, please know, the more we can socially distance students at school, the better it is for all of us. And as always, please be prepared to go full remote at any time. We encourage everyone to adhere to IDPH guidelines to protect the most vulnerable members of our community. If you have any questions or concerns, please be sure to let me know.
