• A different theme is chosen for each quarter
• All assignments will revolve around the theme
• Teacher will guide students and supply materials

• Find different forms of fiction and nonfiction to support a specific theme
• Analyze these themes in both written and spoken forms
• Recognize the universality of these themes
• Create multi-media projects
• Evaluate own work as well as others’
• Evaluate worthiness of web sites
• Follow good speaking techniques when sharing information
• Follow accepted English standards in all written and spoken presentations
