Research question
I can ask a question about an interest I have.

Location
-I can find:  circulation desk, book return, easy books, and computer lab.
-I can identify:  age-appropriate sections of the library.
-I can locate the parts of a book including the front cover, back cover and title page and the names of the author and illustrator.

Communication
-I can identify the purpose of a school library
-I can identify library staff.
-I can tell about something I have observed or heard.
-I can create a picture using a computer graphics program (Kidpix).
-I can identify the main idea of a story and the sequence of events after listening to a nursery thyme, fairy tale or storybook.
-I can use the pictures in a storybook to make predictions about what will happen in a story.
-I can describe what and author and illustrator does.

Evaluation
-I can enjoy a book by:  having it read to me and looking at the pictures.

Lifelong Reading
-I can get information by listening to differently types of materials such as nursery rhymes, fairy tales, poetry and factual materials.
-I can select and check out a book I like.

Technology Skills
-I can create a graphic (Kidpix).
